Description

Printed DiBond Boards are made from two layers of aluminium with a polyethylene core, dibond is an extremely tough material that can be used for indoor or outdoor purposes as temporary or permanent signage. Printed Dibond boards are available in standard A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0 sizes as well as any custom size up to a maximum of 200 x 300cm.
	Durable UV Dibond Printing We print di-bond using a digital, UV digital printing process. Liquid ink is printed to the surface of the material that is immediately 'cured' using UV light that hardens the ink to provide a durable finish that is both waterproof and resistant to fading. Using our digital UV process, we can produce any quantity of printed dibond panels from a one-off to a large run with no set-up charges.



What Is Dibond? Dibond is essentially a sandwich material made from two layers of aluminium with a core of black-coloured polyethylene in the centre. Dibond is extremely strong and durable and it can be used for almost any type of indoor or outdoor signage. It can also be fabricated to make various types of display signage. The combination of the aluminium skin and polyethylene core gives dibond properties that are beneficial for general signage use. It is high in strength but relatively low in weight. It is stable at all temperatures and will not expand or contract like many other plastics. It is highly resistant to damage and will not shatter on impact. It can last for many years outdoors. To summarise, printed dibond boards are a great alternative to cheaper foamex or Correx panels if you need a harder-wearing sign.

	Digital Quality DiBond Dibond has an overall material thickness of approximately 3mm and it is available in a maximum sheet size of up to 200 x 300cm. We print using a specific 'DiLite' digital dibond product that is optimised for UV printing. Our dibond material has a very small degree of thickness tolerance (0.2mm) which means that we can achieve perfectly smooth and uniform printing results. The surface coating is also a pure, matt-white colour.

Quality Guaranteed Our Dibond is surface coated with a lacquer that is optimised for digital UV printing. The surface treatment allows good ink adhesion and prevents bleeding and running of the ink prior to curing resulting in a finer print detail when compared to standard dibond material. We print at a resolution of 1080dpi which provides photo-realistic results. Our printed di-bonds can be used for general signage and hoarding applications but the quality is sufficiently high for use as signage in offices, homes and even galleries. With an emphasis on quality, you can be assured that printed dibond boards from Printdesigns will be of the highest standards.

	Dibond Contour Cutting Dibond panels are printed from large sheets of material that are cut down to size afterwards. This means that we can offer almost any printed size panel up to a maximum size of 3M x 2M in one piece. Dibond boards can be cut with conventional square corners or some of our customers prefer a rounded radius corner so there is no sharp edge to the board. This option is available at no additional cost. Dibond boards can also be contour cut to any required shape on request. Simply provide your artwork file with a vector-based outline to denote the required cutting shape and we can take care of the rest. Optional Laminated Finishes For Dibond panels

Printed dibond boards have a slightly satin finish and are not overly glossy. The standard printed finish is perfectly suitable for general signage and display purposes.

It is possible to overlaminate dibond panels with a protective film that can add a special finish or increase the durability of the panel in terms of providing greater resistance to scratches.

We offer the following finishes:

Gloss - High gloss finish for the richest and most vibrant colour reproduction.
Matt - Flat matt finish that reduces glare (please note a matt finish film will reduce colour vibrancy).
Scratch Resistant - This is a slightly crystal, textured film with a predominantly matt finish. It is the most durable of our laminated finishes and is good for use on longer-term outdoor signs that could become scratched over time.
Dry-Wipe - This is a high gloss laminating film with the same look as our standard gloss. The film uses inhibitors that allow ink to slide off without leaving residue. The dry-wipe film is designed for use with dry-wipe markerboard pens.

Delivery of printed panels We can deliver panels up to around 1M x 1.5M in size via regular overnight courier services. Larger panels or awkward-sized panels may be too large or fragile to deliver in this way. If you require larger panels, please contact us prior to placing your order and we can verify that we can deliver within our standard charges. If it is not possible, we can provide a quotation based on a dedicated vehicle to the delivery address. You may also collect your order in person or via your own courier.
