Transform floors into high-impact branded display space with our custom printed vinyl flooring. Designed specifically for temporary indoor promotional use, this substantial 2mm printed flooring is ideal for exhibitions, trade shows, retail promotions, events, product launches and branded environments.
Your artwork is printed in full colour directly onto the surface of the flooring using our large-format UV printing equipment. Logos, photographic images, patterns, maps, wayfinding graphics and complete branded designs can all be reproduced to create a floor that becomes an integral part of your display.
Sometimes referred to as printed lino, custom printed lino flooring, exhibition flooring or branded event flooring, the material has a textured surface, a latex-backed construction and a substantial feel underfoot. Unlike self-adhesive floor graphics, it is laid onto the existing floor and normally secured using suitable double-sided carpet tape.
Temporary Promotional Flooring – Not for Permanent Installation
This product is designed specifically for temporary promotional and display applications.
Although the flooring itself is a substantial approximately 2mm thick material, the custom artwork is digitally printed onto its surface and will gradually show wear through use. It is therefore not intended as a permanent flooring solution for bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms or other residential or commercial interiors.
If you are looking for a bespoke printed floor for an exhibition stand, event, retail promotion, product launch, photographic set or other temporary branded environment, this is exactly what the product is designed for.

Slip-Resistant Printed Flooring for Exhibitions and Events
Our custom printed vinyl flooring has a textured surface with a DS slip-resistance classification to EN 13893, making it well suited to temporary indoor promotional environments where pedestrian traffic is expected.
The approximately 2mm construction gives the flooring a more substantial feel than a conventional self-adhesive floor graphic, while the backing helps the material lie flat once correctly installed.
Typical applications include exhibition stands, retail displays, hospitality areas, promotional events, product launches and temporary branded installations.

Substantial 2mm Flooring with Acoustic Benefits
At approximately 2mm thick and 1500gsm, this printed flooring feels more substantial underfoot than thin self-adhesive floor graphics. Its latex-backed construction makes it particularly suitable for exhibition stands and temporary display areas where you want the floor to feel like part of the overall installation rather than simply an applied sticker.
The flooring also provides 16dB acoustic insulation, helping to reduce the transmission of footstep noise through the floor. This can be particularly useful within exhibition, event and temporary interior environments.
The material can be rolled for transportation and then positioned and secured at the installation location.

Turn Your Floor into Printable Display Space
Custom flooring gives you an opportunity to use an area that is often overlooked when designing an exhibition stand, retail display or event environment. Instead of choosing a standard floor colour, the entire surface can become part of your visual presentation.
We can reproduce a huge variety of designs, including:
- Company logos and corporate branding
- Full-floor patterns and graphic designs
- Photographic images
- Product imagery and promotional messages
- Maps and wayfinding graphics
- Themed environments and scenic designs
- Feature circles, roundels and custom shapes
Whether you want understated branding or a floor that becomes one of the main visual features of your display, the artwork can be created specifically for the space available.

Large Format Printed Flooring up to 3.1 Metres Wide
We can produce custom printed vinyl flooring up to 3.1 metres wide, allowing many substantial floor graphics to be manufactured in a single piece with no joins.
For areas wider than 3.1 metres, your design can be divided into multiple printed sections. These are positioned edge-to-edge during installation to create neat butt joins, allowing much larger exhibition stands, event spaces and retail areas to be covered.
We can also contour cut the flooring on request, making it possible to create circles, roundels and other custom-shaped floor graphics rather than being restricted to conventional square or rectangular areas.

How Is Custom Printed Vinyl Flooring Installed?
Printed vinyl flooring is supplied rolled for transportation and is designed for straightforward temporary installation.
Before laying the flooring, the underlying surface should be clean, dry, smooth and stable. Dirt, debris, uneven surfaces or other imperfections beneath the material may affect the finished appearance.
Once positioned, we recommend securing the flooring using a suitable double-sided carpet tape to prevent movement during use. Particular attention should be paid to edges and to any butt joins between separate printed sections.
Different types of carpet tape are available, including removable products. Always check that the tape you intend to use is compatible with the existing floor surface and test it in an inconspicuous area where appropriate. Printdesigns cannot accept responsibility for damage caused to an underlying floor by adhesives or installation materials selected by the installer.
High-Quality Full-Colour UV Printing
Your design is produced using large-format digital printing equipment, with UV light used to cure the ink directly onto the surface of the flooring. This allows us to reproduce vibrant branding, detailed graphics, photography and large areas of colour across the floor.
Because the artwork is printed onto the surface, the print will naturally show wear through use. The rate at which this happens depends on the installation environment and the amount and type of mechanical abrasion the floor experiences.
Dirt and grit carried onto the flooring, footwear and the movement of furniture, display equipment or other objects can all accelerate wear. We therefore do not specify or guarantee a particular lifespan for the printed surface.
This is one of the reasons why the product is recommended specifically for temporary promotional applications rather than permanent flooring installations.

Where Can Printed Vinyl Flooring Be Used?
Custom printed flooring is particularly effective anywhere you want to temporarily transform an indoor floor into part of a branded or themed environment.
- Exhibitions and trade shows – create a completely branded stand space and coordinate the floor with your exhibition graphics.
- Retail promotions – create temporary branded areas for product launches, seasonal campaigns and point-of-sale displays.
- Events and hospitality – ideal for launch events, award ceremonies, branded activations and temporary hospitality spaces.
- Showrooms – introduce temporary campaign or product-specific branding without permanently changing the existing floor.
- Photo and video sets – create printed surfaces, patterns or themed flooring as part of a temporary set.
- Museums, galleries and visitor attractions – useful for temporary exhibitions, themed installations, maps and directional graphics.
- Wayfinding and feature areas – use printed graphics to define spaces, communicate information or create visual focal points.
Printed Vinyl Flooring vs Self-Adhesive Floor Graphics
Although both products can be used to create custom floor graphics, they are quite different.
Custom printed vinyl flooring is an approximately 2mm thick floor covering that is laid over the existing surface and normally secured with suitable double-sided tape. It has a more substantial feel and is particularly suited to complete exhibition floors, event spaces and larger branded areas.
Self-adhesive floor graphics are considerably thinner and adhere directly to a suitable underlying surface. They can be an excellent choice for individual promotional graphics, directional signs and smaller areas where a complete printed floor covering isn't required.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Printed Vinyl Flooring
What is custom printed vinyl flooring?
Custom printed vinyl flooring is a temporary floor covering onto which your own artwork, branding or graphics are digitally printed. It is particularly suited to exhibitions, trade shows, events, retail promotions and other temporary branded environments.
Is printed vinyl flooring the same as printed lino?
The terms printed lino and custom printed lino flooring are often used to describe this type of flexible printed floor covering. Our product is a PVC flooring material with a latex backing that is digitally printed with your custom design.
Is custom printed vinyl flooring slip resistant?
The flooring has a textured surface and a DS slip-resistance classification to EN 13893. Correct installation is important, and the flooring should be securely positioned to prevent movement during use.
Can I permanently install custom printed flooring in my home?
No. This product is specifically intended for temporary promotional and display applications. It is not designed or recommended as permanent domestic flooring and should not be purchased for permanent installation in bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms or other areas of the home.
How long will custom printed vinyl flooring last?
There is no fixed lifespan because wear depends heavily on how and where the flooring is used. The artwork is digitally printed onto the surface and will gradually wear through mechanical abrasion. A lightly trafficked display area may experience considerably less wear than a busy entrance, walkway or high-footfall environment. Dirt, grit, footwear and movement of furniture or equipment can also accelerate wear. For this reason, we do not specify or guarantee a particular lifespan for the printed surface.
Can printed vinyl flooring be used at exhibitions?
Yes. Exhibition stands and trade shows are one of the main applications for custom printed flooring. The floor can be designed to coordinate with your exhibition graphics and branding, helping create a complete branded stand environment.
Can printed vinyl flooring be used in shops?
Yes, for temporary promotional applications. It can be used to create branded areas for product launches, seasonal promotions, point-of-sale displays and other temporary retail campaigns. It is not intended as a permanent replacement for the shop's normal flooring.
How thick is the flooring?
The flooring is approximately 2mm thick and weighs approximately 1500gsm, giving it a substantially different feel from a thin self-adhesive floor graphic.
What is the maximum print width?
We can print the flooring up to 3100mm (3.1 metres) wide. Larger areas can be divided into multiple sections and positioned edge-to-edge using neat butt joins.
Can you produce flooring larger than 3.1 metres?
Yes. The 3.1 metre measurement is the maximum width of an individual printed section, not the maximum overall floor size. Larger designs can be divided across multiple sections that are positioned alongside one another during installation.
Can custom printed flooring be cut to shape?
Yes. Contour cutting is available on request, allowing us to produce circles, roundels and other custom-shaped floor graphics.
How is printed vinyl flooring installed?
The flooring is rolled out onto a clean, dry, smooth and stable surface and normally secured using suitable double-sided carpet tape. The tape should also be used appropriately around edges and joins to prevent movement. Always check that the tape is suitable for the underlying floor before installation.
What can be printed onto the flooring?
Almost any suitable full-colour artwork can be reproduced, including logos, corporate branding, photographic images, patterns, product graphics, maps, directional graphics and complete themed designs.
What is the difference between printed vinyl flooring and self-adhesive floor graphics?
Printed vinyl flooring is an approximately 2mm thick floor covering that is laid over an existing surface and normally secured using suitable tape. Self-adhesive floor graphics are much thinner and stick directly to the underlying floor. Printed flooring is particularly useful for complete exhibition stands and larger temporary branded areas, while self-adhesive graphics can be better suited to individual promotional or directional floor graphics.
Is printed vinyl flooring suitable for outdoor use?
We recommend this product for temporary indoor applications. Outdoor environments introduce additional variables including weather, moisture, contamination and uneven surfaces, so this product should not be considered an outdoor flooring solution.
