Custom Printed Display Polyester Fabric
Display polyester is a versatile, soft-feel printable fabric designed primarily for indoor display applications. It is ideal for exhibition graphics, event backdrops, hanging banners, retail displays, showroom graphics, printed tablecloths and many other custom fabric displays.
Printed using dye sublimation, the colour becomes part of the polyester fibres rather than simply sitting on the surface of the material. This produces strong, vibrant printed results while allowing the fabric to remain flexible, soft and easy to handle.
Larger graphics can be folded for convenient packing, storage and transportation without the print cracking or suffering the type of permanent ink bruising that can affect some coated print materials.

A Versatile Fabric For Indoor Displays
Display polyester is one of our most popular printable fabrics because it works well across a wide range of indoor display applications. Typical uses include exhibition backdrops, hanging graphics, retail advertising, showroom displays, event branding and printed tablecloths.
At 210gsm, the material has enough substance to create a good-quality display graphic while retaining a relatively soft textile feel. Unlike some stiffer printable fabrics, it drapes naturally, making it particularly suitable where the finished graphic needs to hang or flow.
Display polyester is not a completely blockout fabric, so some light can pass through it, particularly against a bright background. However, it provides good opacity for most general display applications and produces strong, vibrant printed colour.
We can print from rolls up to 3.2 metres wide and produce graphics in almost any length. Larger finished displays can also be created using specialist sewing and joining techniques where required.

Can Display Polyester Be Used Outdoors?
Display polyester is primarily designed for indoor display use. The polyester fabric and dye-sublimation print can be used outdoors for temporary or sheltered applications, but this material is not intended for large outdoor banners subjected to significant wind loading or prolonged weather exposure.
If your graphic will be installed outdoors, particularly in an exposed position, please contact us before ordering. We can recommend a more suitable fabric or banner material where required.

Cutting, Sewing & Fabric Finishing
Printed display polyester can be supplied as raw printed material or finished to suit the way the graphic will be installed and used.
We can cut the material to a finished size or shape and offer sewn hems and pole pockets as standard finishing options. Pole pockets are particularly useful where a fabric graphic needs to be suspended from a pole, rail or similar support.
Our in-house fabric finishing capabilities also allow us to produce more specialist graphics. Depending on the application, we can sew silicone edging, hook-and-loop fastening such as Velcro®, or other specialist components to the perimeter of the print.

High-Quality Dye Sublimation Printing
Our display polyester is printed using dye sublimation on our EFI Reggiani FabriVu fabric printer, which is capable of output resolutions of up to 2400dpi and production speeds of up to 250m² per hour.
Dye sublimation is particularly well suited to polyester textiles. During the production process, the printed colour is transferred into the fibres of the fabric, producing a vibrant and durable result while preserving the natural flexibility of the material.
Because the colour becomes part of the fabric itself, dye-sublimated graphics can be folded without the print cracking, flaking or becoming permanently bruised. This makes display polyester particularly convenient for exhibitions and events where larger graphics need to be transported and stored.
The fabric can also be machine washed when required. Care should be taken with finished graphics that include sewn-in fixings, silicone edging or other specialist components.
Our display polyester is fire-rated, making it suitable for many exhibition, event, retail and public display environments. Individual venues may specify their own requirements, so please contact us if you need to satisfy a particular fire-performance standard or require supporting certification.
