Flag Fabric Printing Our 115gsm polyester flag material is a lightweight and durable textile that is ideal for the production of printed flags and can also be used for the production of display banners too. Being lightweight and foldable, flag prints are perfect if you need a large scale banner that is compact and lightweight for transport and storage as well. Perfect for events and occasions, they’re printed to a high quality using top grade materials to make sure they stand out and stand the test of time.

	What Is Flag Fabric? Flag fabric is made from 100% polyester and has a weight of 115grams per square Metre. Apart from voile, flag fabric is the lightest of the printable fabric materials we offer. Flag material is printed onto one side using a process of print called dye sublimation. Liquid ink is printed to the fabric which is then heated and turned into a gas that dyes the fabric yarn to create a printed image that is durable and waterproof. Polyester flag material has a relatively open knitted weave that allows a degree of show through. The open weave of the fabric allows some air to pass through it making it perfect for the production of large outdoor banners and flags. Our cloth flag printing onto this material ensures that it is a quality print and a durable design.

Applications for Flag Fabric Printing The most common application for printed flag polyester fabric is for the production of outdoor event and branding flags. Such flags can include portable feather flags and teardrop flags as well as flags designed for fitment to traditional flag poles. Promotional flags used in this way are a popular choice with customers and clients to get their brand seen at high footfall events - whether they are putting on the event or promoting at it. Flag fabric is also a great alternative to a traditional vinyl or PVC banner because it is very light and can be folded up. 	Flag Printing Image Show Through Due to the fact that flag material is very porous, the printed ink that is applied to the face of the material will show through to the reverse side. This effect provides a double sided image with the reverse face of the print having around 90% saturation when compared to the front. This double sided printing effect works well for generic branding flags rather than the rear of the material being white in colour as would be the case with a typical printed fabric. Due to the content on the reverse of the flag being a reflection of the front, any content on the back such as wording etc will be mirrored. Should you require a two sided flag with content that will read correctly from both directions, two flag prints can be sewn back-to-back with a light blocking liner being sewn in between the two printed layers.
