Our printed placards are one of our most popular promotional products. Designed to grab attention at events, marches, or demonstrations, they are available in a choice of sizes and with the option to be printed either single or double-sided. We can cater for any order requirement from a one-off to a large run. Our printed placards are supplied complete with sticks and have a durable, waterproof printed finish.
Printed Placards
Placards can be printed in a range of standard sizes or we can produce any custom size and shape on request, and we can take care of placard design for you, too.
Placards can be supplied with a panel on one or both sides of the stick and we have an option for a short hand held stick or a longer stick that can rest on the ground. Ask to see our placard display to see which size will be right for you.
Placard Sticks
A placard is no good without a stick to hold it with and we offer a choice of a short or long length stick depending on the size of the placard we produce.
For small and medium hand held placards a shorter length stick is provided that protrudes around 400mm from the bottom of the sign. For our large size placards, we provide a longer length stick that protrudes around 1400mm from the bottom of the sign so you can rest the stick on the floor while holding the placard.
The timber we use for our placard sticks is FSC certified being sourced from sustainable forests. The size of the timber profile is 38mm x 19mm.
Recyclable Board Material
We print placards using a material called Correx, which is a fluted sheet with a thickness of 4mm.
Correx board is ideal for the production of placard signs as it is waterproof, resistant to shattering and extremely rigid due to the corrugated core.
Being made from 100% polycarbonate means that correx board can be widely recycled making it ideal for the production of short term signs.
One board is used for a single sided placard whereas two boards fasten back to back to make a double sided placard.
Any Design & Any Quantity
We print hand held placard signs using a digital UV printing process that provides rich, vibrant colour output with a tough, durable finish. The UV printing process uses no solvents (VOC's) that are environmentally harmful.
Digital printing allows us to print any number of placards from a one off to a quantity of thousands and all with fast production times and absolutely no minimum order quantity or set up costs.

Assembling Your Placard Sign
We supply our custom placard signs with a strip of strong foam backed adhesive tape to the centre. The stick is cut to length and supplied separately.
To assemble your placard sign, simply peel the release liner from the tape on the back of the sign and push the stick against it. There is no need to screw through the face of your placard in order to fasten it to the stick although you can do this for additional strength should you wish.
Single sided placards include one stick and one sign. Double sided placards include one stick and two signs that attach back to back on the same stick.
Which placard size do I need?
Small size placards measure 298mm x 398mm and are supplied with a short pole that protrudes around 400mm from the bottom of the sign.
Medium size placards measure 400mm x 600mm and are supplied with a short pole that protrudes around 400mm from the bottom of the sign.
Large size placards measure 600mm x 800mm and are supplied with a short pole that protrudes around 1400mm from the bottom of the sign.

Are printed placards recyclable?
Yes, they are made of correx which is made up of polypropylene which is 100% recyclable. It is a level five plastic so while you cannot put it in your work or home recycling bin, it is largely recycled - you just need to look at the signs, no pun intended.
Are printed placards safe to use?
They are lightweight by design and the correx material is designed this way, too. They are safe to use but you should be aware of your surroundings and the size of the placard at the event you are going to. They are easy to transport and store due to the shape and durability of the material. But, if you have any other placard questions, please get in touch.
How do I set up my artwiork for a printed placard?

The templates are blank documents that will help you to create artwork of the correct size based on the size of printed placard that you wish to order. You can also find a document for download that provides more generic information about setting up artwork for large-format printing. This includes infomztion about colour mode, resolution and bleed.
