Ordering The Correct Replacement Graphic Panels For Your Particular Pop-up Stand
The “Pop Up Stand” was invented in 1975 by Ted Zeigler, founder of Nomadic Display who created a collapsible framework that was designed to accept a series of magnetic, rollable printed graphic panels. Since then, many companies have produced versions making the pop-up stand one of the most commonly used types of portable display in the world.
The design of pop-up stands varies from one manufacturer to another, but the principle of operation is the same whereby the graphic panels are printed in vertical sections that attach to the frame magnetically.
Pop-up panels use a 'hanger' that is attached to the top of the printed panel on the back. The hanger is specific to the frame and allows the graphic panel to hang onto it. All pop-up stand replacement graphic panels are also finished with magnetic tape that is applied to the vertical side edges of the panel.
To purchase new printed panels for your pop-up stand, it is essential to know what type of frame you have so that any new panels can be provided to the correct dimensions and fitted with the correct hangers.

How To Order Replacement Graphics For Your Pop Up Stand
STEP 1 - CHOOSE YOUR FRAME SHAPE
Straight and curved-shaped pop-up stands both have rounded end panels on each side of the frame. However, the graphic panels on the front of a straight stand are designed to sit flat whereas the graphics on a curved pop-up stand have a concave shape.
The reason why we need to know if your stand is straight or curved is because the front facing graphic panels are normally different in size.
STEP 2 - CHOOSE YOUR PRINT MATERIAL
We offer a choice of two print materials for replacement pop-up graphics:
Economy PVC - The material thickness is 500-micron. It is printed using a UV digital process whereby the ink is cured to the surface. Panels are reasonably resistant to scratches but care and attention should be taken when handling to prevent accidental damage. We recommend this material for short-term or one-off event use whereby the panels will not be manually handled or used multiple times.
Scratch Resistant Laminated Polyester - This is a photographic-coated 350-micron material. It is printed with an aqueous ink-jet process giving the highest quality print reproduction. After printing, a layer of 150-micron thick protective, crystal lamination is applied to the face so the panels are highly resistant to scratches and easy to wipe clean. Temperature changes do not influence polyester material so panels are easier to hang.
Replacing Printed Graphics For A Pop Up Display Originally Purchased From Printdesigns?
Our pop-up stands are supplied with premium graphics as standard so we recommend choosing this option if you want like-for-like equivalents.
STEP 3 - CHOOSE YOUR FRAME TYPE
We offer replacement graphics for several popular types of pop stands. If you are unsure of the type of stand you have, the table below provides some information about the type of hanger used for the printed panels.
We recommend comparing the hangers on your current pop-up stand panels to the images shown in the table below to ensure the fixings are the same. You will find the hanger attached on the top, reverse side of your existing printed panels.

Magnetic Pop-Up Display Replacement Graphic Panels
The magnetic pop-up display frame is a premium pop-up display system manufactured by Very Displays. The framework of the display has a square profile and is silver in colour.

Express, Advantage and Cross Braced Pop-Up Display Replacement Graphic Panels
The Express and Advantage systems are very similar with the frame being black. Cross-braced pop-up frames look completely different and are instantly recognisable by their bright blue anodised framework.
The easiest way to tell whether you have an Express or an Advantage pop-up is to check the frame height. The Express pop-up is about 2225mm high whereas the Advantage frame is shorter at about 2130mm high

This base model pop-up display stand is manufactured by Very Displays. The design of the hanger is almost identical to the popular Quick Fix model pop-up stand that is manufactured by Ultima Displays. The graphic panels between the two systems are cross-compatible given the colour of the plastic cup used on the rear of the graphic makes no difference to the way that the graphic hangs on the frame.

The hanger used on the Essential pop up stand uses a grey coloured plastic cup that hooks over an equivalent plastic node on the frame
The Quick Fix pop-up display from Ultima is probably the most common type of budget pop-up stand sold in the UK. Quick Fix pop-up stands are easily identifiable by their bright, anodised purple framework. The graphic panels hook onto nodes on the frame as is common with other budget pop-up display frames.
Ultima also sold versions of this stand called 'Rapid' and 'Impact'. They were essentially the same product although the frames were plain silver and the hangers on the graphics had yellow cups.
The colour of the fixings used on the hanger does not influence the way the graphics attach to the frame so the panels for these three systems are the same.

Ultima Xpress Pop-Up Display Replacement Graphic Panels
Now discontinued, the Xpress pop-up display frame from Ultima was a premium pop-up display system featuring fully magnetic graphic hangers. Rather than using cups that hook over equivalent nodes on the frame, the graphics grab into place via floating magnets inside the plastic moulding of the hanger.

Ultima Xpress pop up stands have now been replaced by the 'Quick Plus' system but we still offer replacement graphics for them. The hanger uses a floating magnet inside a yellow plastic hanger as shown
The Ultima XPress pop up frame has grey coloured plastic hubs and a silver aluminium frame. The plastic hubs on the top left and top right corners of the frame are yellow colour.
Ultima Quick Plus Pop-Up Display Replacement Graphic Panels
The Quick Plus pop-up display frame from Ultima replaced the older premium Xpress system. It uses similar fully magnetic graphic hangers with floating magnets although the design was adjusted slightly.

STEP 4 - CHOOSE YOUR FRAME SIZE
Replacement graphic panels for pop-up stands are sold individually so you will need to add the correct number of panels for your particular frame to the cart when ordering.
For colour consistency and perfect panel alignment, all of the panels on your pop-up stand should be printed at the same time. We cannot colour-match or match panels that were produced historically or panels that were printed by other suppliers.
